Job Description

Dawaplus seeks a qualified Operations Associate to assist in launching our business in Tanzania. The position will be based at HQ with field travel and will support the launch and management of Dawaplus wholesalers and pharmacies. The Operations Associate will play a key role in: recruiting and training our team, putting in place systems that will enable profitability across the network, and creating a platform for brand value for franchisees and customers. The role reports to the Dawaplus Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

Assist in identifying sites, recruiting staff, and processing business registration required to launch wholesale and retail operations in each new location

Assist in establishing and monitoring operating systems at each wholesaler and customer-facing outlet in the network. Systems include:

Positions requirements:

Candidates should possess a Bachelors’ degree and minimum 3 years’ experience working in operations, preferably with sales and/or import/distribution functions. Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management an advantage. Candidates should possess the following:

• Hands-on experience in operations, including import, distribution and/or retail functions

• Ability to set priorities and execute work with strong time-management skills, including ability to meet tight deadlines

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• Results-oriented and persistent

• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization

• High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point; Microsoft Navision or similar ERP

system an advantage

• Superior written and oral communication skills in English and Kiswahili

• High level of professionalism

• An energetic, self-motivated personality with ability to work as a self-starter

• Flexible approach, and able to multi-task, while growing with a fast moving environment
