At ActionAid International we help people use their own power to fight poverty and injustice. Because that’s how real change happens – for families, for communities, for whole societies. We are now recruiting a Campaign Manager to lead the strategic development, coordination and delivery of our international Tax Power Campaign. This is a unique opportunity to lead a bold and transformative campaign that is tackling the injustice of developing countries losing billions to corporate tax dodging every year. We have played a pioneering role globally in leading this groundbreaking campaign over the last few years.
As Campaign Manager your primary focus will be ensuring the effective delivery of clearly identified external and internal objectives and outcomes for our Tax Power campaign. This will mean coordinating contributions and skills from over 20 ActionAid countries around the world and across the International Secretariat to harness the power of our Federation behind this multi-country campaign. This will involve facilitating a diverse cross-functional and multi-country Campaign Project Team to develop and deliver strategy as well as overseeing activities to ensure they are consistent with our values and mission. You will assess priorities, manage resources and oversee stakeholder communications to ensure staff are informed and motivated and campaigning is effective. You will also build alliances, monitor and evaluate performance as well as share insight to drive continuous improvement. You will also play a key role in helping develop the federation’s strength as an effective campaigning force over the coming years and in building leadership of our campaigning by the people living in poverty we work alongside.
You must have a relevant postgraduate degree or equivalent experience and have excellent written and spoken English. You will have substantial campaigning experience, ideally on a range of levels (local, national, international) and gained in both implementation and strategic roles. You understand how to influence political structures and decision makers, and can demonstrate strategic knowledge of the global political landscape, as well as having knowledge and experience of tax justice and women’s rights issues. You will have worked in coalitions and are skilled at alliance building and networking. An experienced and effective manager, you can communicate, represent and persuade at all levels, both internally and externally, and thrive working in a collaborative way to drive forward this amazing campaign.
