The Electrical Engineer will provide professional direction, support and advice as the site representative for all matters related to construction quality assurance of electrical works
RESPONSIBILITIES
Compliance and Procedures Management
Monitor the mechanicals works for conformance with the provisions of the Contract Documents and the Procedures manual.
Review, approve and process all electrical technical submittals
Coordinate and supervise the work of all electrical activities and operations.
Receive / action Request(s) for Information (RFIs) that apply to electrical works. RFIs requiring design feedback will be directed to the Designer for response. Review responses for adequacy.
The Electrical Engineer will:-
Review Contractor’s electrical change order proposals.
Prepare recommendations for Design Team Leader for review.
If warranted, assist in negotiations with contractors regarding changes in contract value or project duration.
Review contractors’ claims related to electrical works.
Prepare recommendations for claims approval or rejection.
Assist in negotiations with contractors regarding the value of claims or changes in schedules.
Approve the Contractors’ as-built drawings and O&M manual submittals.
Liaise with local authorities and ministerial agencies having jurisdiction over the project.

The successful and smooth execution of activities on site.
DEADLINES
The timeliness performance of his activities as well as the activities of his subordinates.
Submitting all reports and deliverables by their due dates.
Any other deadlines as determined by the Project Manager.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Highly proficient in SCADA systems
The candidate should be self-innovative, creational, and able to work under minimum level of supervision in a heavy workload environment. This will be beside a quality sense of defining technical problems, collecting appropriate and related data to establish solutions.
Determine the status of construction work and verify adherence to contractual obligations.
Properly and thoroughly inspect workmanship and materials.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
At least 12 years of relevant experience
At least 12 years experience of sewage treatment plant design
Minimum 5 years experience of review of Design Build documents for STP
GCC experience preferred
