• Responsible for managing a Country Procurement related to one or several Categories to meet local targets of cost, quality, time, guarantees and services
• Responsible of efficiently managing the day to day relationship and transactions with Suppliers within his/her Categories, ensuring compliance with contracted terms and conditions, and MIC Internal Control policies
• Plan and execute operational and tactical supplier management tasks for her/his team categories
• Involve in fairly high-complexity procurement (within operational and tactical classification)

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute the Category Supply Strategy to achieve best in class Supplier Base
• Coordinate and negotiate requirements with local internal customers, and support them with the commercial side of enforcing contracted terms and performance
• Develop in depth industry understanding within his/her assigned Category, specifically concerning local competitive forces, breakthrough business or technology advances, and cost structure
• Support Global P&SC Team in the development of specific category strategies, global tenders and / or negotiations
Procurement Management
• Independently manage procurements of fairly high complexity (i.e. high value, new business model, complex stakeholders or other relevant factors) from start to end, including sourcing strategy, RFx, evaluation, negotiation and finalization
• In relation to categories or other strategic areas within area of responsibility, as agreed with Procurement Manager, create category/sourcing strategies and execute in market timely to meet yearly Procurement plan
• Create and maintain yearly and monthly procurement and PO plans within area of responsibility
• Ensure appropriate terms & conditions are proposed, negotiated and finalized
• Evaluate commercials with concept of Total Cost of Ownership
• Identify and mitigate potential risks during tendering and supplier selection
• Identify scope-gaps and responsibility matrix together with user department, pre-, during- and after tender
• Ensure savings as per targets given (if no specific targets given, HQ and department targets apply)
• Support internal customers in procurement related matters: at all times treat suppliers and internal stakeholders fairly and with respect, e.g. give ample time to respond to RFx, give same information and time to respond
• Give support to global/regional initiatives as requested
• Be up to date on market intelligence such as costs, suppliers and new technologies
Supplier Relationship Management
• Conduct supplier performance evaluation and appraisal of suppliers
• Ensure that Supplier Relationship & Contract Management Framework (SRCMF) is followed and suppliers have defined level as per SRCMF
Leadership
• Give qualified support to Procurement Specialists, Contract Managers and P&SC/Procurement Manager in contributing to team efforts and initiatives
• Participate in training new Procurement Specialists in the group as required and serve as mentor to new colleagues
• Participate in training new Procurement Specialists in the group as required and serve as mentor to new colleagues
• Identify areas for improvement and proactively address them
• Acts as first level/filter for escalation
• Support Global in contract amendment negotiations and liaise with Global Contract Managers and Category Directors

• Bachelor in Business Administration, Technical or Economic Degree and/or related careers
• Graduate level required, MBA desirable
