SAFETY & COMPLIANCE MANAGER - INTERTEK

Desired Minimum educational qualification and work experience needed to be considered for the position:

- Tertiary Qualification – Bachelor Degree, Quality Assurance & HSE
- Matric or Equivalent Education, SHE Diploma preferable
- Formal Auditing and Risk Assessment Qualification
- Min 5 years related working experience in related fields or similar environment, which include
research, product development, quality, implementation of OHSAS 18001,
ISO 17025 / ISO 9001 standards for Tanzania in specific local legislations.
- Able to produce proof of successful track record in the co-ordination, implementation,
maintenance, optimization and monitoring of the quality systems, health and safety,
risk assessments and compliance audits.
- Able to produce proof of successful track record the overall function of HSSE, including
writing of safe work procedures, toolbox talks, training, investigations, inspections and audits
safety meetings, KPI collation and month end reporting.
- Able to support, advice and assist Laboratories on various technical aspects to ensure
ISO Standards are met at all time
- Be computer literate in basic software packages e.g. MS Word & Excel
- Hold a Valid Driver’s license

- Have a clean record on compliance, specific to sound character references with emphasis
on integrity, morals and ethics in work performance and work history
- Be able to work independently and highly confidential when investigating compliance issues
- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Above average organizational and communication and teamwork skills
- Show upmost discretion when dealing with confidential information
- Be professional and ethical at all times
- A Good understanding of legislative OH&S requirements
