Good neighbors Tanzania(GNTZ) was established in 2005 and its activity has been carried out in both Da r es sallam, Mwanza and Dodoma.in particular GNTZ  regional is located in mwanza has worked with National institute for medical research(NIMR)Mwanza center as a collaborative partner for NTDs(Neglected tropical diseases)control program  in lake zone since 2008.

Maternal health project

Was developed  so as to improve the health of a women especially women of child bearing age and their children, to support and strengthening health system so as to provide care to women and decrease deaths among women and children in 12 wards,kishapu,mwadui luhumbo , bunambi,mwadui luhumbo,ukenyenge,kiloleli,gofila,seke bugoro and lagano wards in kishapu district in Shinyanga region

Position – Logistics officer 1 posts

Duty station – Shinyanga region

Introduction

The main job of this profile is to keep a track on that are being received, he has to maintain an accurate data of the process so that there are no confusion later on. They have to keep track on all materials purchased, received and distributed

Direct entry Qualification

• Holder a certificate or diploma in procurement and supply ,logistics or related field
• Working experience with atleast 1 year in the related field will be an added advantage
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Have a good negotiation skills
• Have computer skill especially in MS excel ,Access
• Able to maintain proper stock of the materials
• Skills and work experience
• High level of integrity and ability to work as part of professional team
• Hard working and committed to the work given
• High level competence and honestly of the work
• Good command of English writing and spoken

Duties and responsibilities

• Inform  the management regarding the particular dispatch and requirement of certain materials
• Review the existing logistics methods and suggest any betterment that required
• Plan the exact method of how products will procured and distributed
• Prepare ,coordinate and implement annual procurement plan
• Prepare and present periodic reports to annual management meeting
• To coordinate preparation of tender bidding documents
• To coordinate development and review of policies relevant to procurement function
• Administer effectively all resources allocated to the department including offering technical and operation support to staff
• Coordinate procurement activities, travel, stores to ensure successfully deriver of procurement services of the project
• Assesses and organizes logistics in terms of transportation requirement, handling, storage and distribution of equipments and items, proper recording systems including assets
• Undertake any  other  related duties assigned by Managing Director
