Assistant to Sales Director

Serengeti Breweries Ltd (SBL) operates exclusively in Tanzania and is the 2nd largest beer company with a market share of close to 30%.  SBL is a subsidiary of East Africa Breweries Ltd (EABL) – which is partly owned by one of the world’s biggest alcoholic beverage companies, DIAGEO. The company is an integrated demand/supply business with 3 operational breweries in Dar Es Salaam, Mwanza, and Moshi. The company boasts famous locally brewed brands, such as Serengeti Premium Lager, Tusker Lager, Tusker Light, Kibo Gold, Pilsner Lager, Senator just to name a few. The spirits folder is filled with world-class brands from abroad – including Smirnoff, Johnnie Walker, Baileys, J&B and Gordon’s.

Purpose of Role:

Assistant to the Sales Director is responsible for managing all the administrative formalities of Sales Director.

Top Accountabilities

• Organize and coordinate the writing and sending of information
• Write and present notes (often confidential)
• Filter information and documents
• Prepare the agenda for various committee meetings
• Organize sales management meetings
• Perform searches and prepare the results of these searches for their presentation by executives
• Meet with various groups or people to identify their requests
• Recommend solutions to management
• Follow up the budget for the department
• Act as a liaison between Sales Director, and the other departments and the outside Distributors & Customers

  Qualifications

• A high school diploma is a minimum requirement. Preferably a college diploma in administration or office systems technology.
