Specific Job Responsibilities:
Train or ensure the Extension Officers/Agents receive adequate training and provide timely extension services to farmers
Coordinate the formation of producer groups
Coordinate the sequencing of the 5 skills set training to farmers
Ensure the timely establishment of soy demo sites and egg demo units and quality control
In collaboration with M&E staff ensure documented lessons are shared among staff
Ensure experience sharing among farmers
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Key Working Relationships:
Internal:Project staff, Administrative and Finance Staff, CRS East Africa and Headquarters Technical Advisors.
External:Implementing Partners, target communities, and other stakeholders
Qualifications and Skills:
BS or BA in Agriculture or other related fields
Minimum 5 years experience in implementing agriculture projects focused on market-oriented smallholders
Excellent inter-personal skills
Demonstrated personal accountability and drive to serve others. Affinity for partner relationships
Physical Requirements / Environment:up to 75% travel time.
