AUTO ELECTRICIAN FOREMAN

We seek to appoint Auto Electrician Foreman at our Buzwagi Gold Mining Operation.

Reporting to Mine Maintenance Superintendent and working on a 6/3 week FIFO roster.

KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide leadership to ensure that employees and contractors adhere to safety and environmental standards that exceed worldwide industry practice and any applicable legislative requirements.
Manage Succession Planning within the Team to ensure that Barrick achieves development of Tanzanian employees to assume positions of increasing accountability. Development of Electrical Supervisors and Electrician Artisans to positions of increasing accountability is a Key Performance Indicator.
Lead the electrical team with regards to odd shift and total commitment to Barrick Key values
Utilize Oracle maintenance management modules as an effective Computerized Maintenance Management System.
Develop and implement procedures for identification, approval, planning, scheduling, execution and recording of engineering Services electrical work that are in alignment with Barrick guidelines and best practice.
Implement and monitor maintenance budgeting and cost control systems.
Develop long-term electrical maintenance plan.
Manage electrical workshop facilities.
Manage on-site power supply and distribution.
Provide technical input into development of training packages.
Provide ongoing training, mentoring and employee performance management, to develop and maintain a safe, competent and results orientated Electrical Team
Ensure a high level of emergency preparedness
Manage contractors in accordance to barrick’s guidelines and policies.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

Education Requirements:

Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 5-7 years experience in electrical maintenance with at least 3 years in leadership role.
Experience in systematic coaching and training of employees in a developing country is essential.
Experience in computerized maintenance systems, eg Oracle, Pronto is essential
High voltage experience essential.
Experience with stand-by power generation essential.
High tension and Low tension switching experience
