Research Positions Available
Raising Voices, the Center for Domestic Violence Prevention (CEDOVIP), the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and Makerere University are conducting a household survey on violence against women and HIV We are currently recruiting for the following positions.

4. Research Field Supervisors (8 posts)
Start date: January 9th 2012
Duration: 5 months, full time, some evenings and weekends necessary

Responsibilities
Participate in training field researchers.
Positively manage a team of field researchers.
Liaise with local partners and manage logistical details of the study.
Ensure strict adherence to quality and ethical guidelines.
Spend majority of time in communities in Kampala supervising the study.
Ensure all the documentation is maintained as per protocol.
Partake in all training and debriefing of research activities.
Requirement:

Required Qualifications, Skills, Qualities
At least five years experience in supervising quantitative research Reliable, trustworthy and efficient.
Ability to manage time, prioritize competing priorities and problem solve. Ability to provide positive leadership to team.
Interest, experience and comfort in working on violence against women issues. Fluent in (written and spoken) Luganda and English. Bachelor’s degree required. Masters desirable
Salary: - USD/month

Note: All Supervisors and Field Researchers will be required to participate in a 3 week, paid training after which a competency-based assessment will be conducted and for those who pass, contracts will be signed.
