We are seeking a Coordinator for our Volunteer Travel Business as a 1 YEAR contract starting immediately. The position is based in Maun, Botswana. Our volunteer travel business works in conjunction with our tours business and non-profit foundation based in Swaziland, plus a number of community organizations based in Maun.
Responsibilities Include:
* Represent All Out Africa in Botswana, manage our social proejcts in and around Maun, and identify sub-projects and new project opportunities in line with the goals of our organisation.
* Oversee proejct activities through managing volunteers and liase with appropriate partners to organize activities and weekly work plans for volunteers.
* Plan and organize resource needs for project acitivites and manage project expenditures.
* Prepare quarterly/monthly reports on project results and obtain weekly project feedback from partners and volunteers.
* Support, motivate, lead and encourage volunteers through their work placements.
* Be sensitive and understanding of the personalities of volunteers and include them in the group as part of a team.
Requirements:
* Preferably a tertiary qualification in development/humanitarian work
* Experience with community development and education work in Maun
* Excellent Organisational, computer, interpersonal and oral communication skills
* Experience with customer care, guiding or coordination of internaional travelers
* Experience with managing budgets and expenditure
* A friendly, caring and confident nature preferably with an interest in conservation
* Must be legally authorized to work in Botswana
* Must be fluent in English, Setswana strongly preferred
