Building on our achievements
Committed to research, learning and teaching that promote responsible leadership in a complex world, Hull University Business School enjoys an established reputation for high quality, demonstrated by the prestigious ‘Triple Crown’ of EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA accreditations, international and corporate partnerships, and our performance in the RAE – where we were placed 16th among UK university business schools in terms of research power.
With the recent appointment of a new Dean and strategic investment in staff, the school intends to further strengthen our research for the forthcoming REF, as well as supporting continuing developments in learning and teaching, by appointing a senior lecturer or lecturer in economics.
Candidates for senior lecturer will have a strong commitment to high quality teaching and research in economics, with a record of publications in high quality refereed international journals. They should also demonstrate an ability to provide postgraduate supervision.
Candidates for lecturer should offer specialist teaching and assessment at undergraduate or postgraduate levels in economics. They should also have achieved success in publishing, or have demonstrable potential to publish papers in international journals.
Applications are invited for all areas of economics, but candidates specialising in macroeconomics and monetary economics are particularly encouraged to apply. Ideally, candidates will also be able to contribute to executive education and consultancy.
If you are ambitious, can commit to the achievement of the school’s vision and mission, and have the drive and ability to take us forward, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Interviews are scheduled to take place during October 2011.
