The position also provides an interface between Global Finance and other Global Centre functions such as People and Culture, Global Supply Chain Management and Fleet management in so far as providing linkages with systems (such as the PCIS system in P&C) and initiatives in those areas and either the National Office or Global Centre finance functions. This role functions as the “right hand” of the CFO and is heavily involved in strategic, budgeting and planning activities.
The Partnership Leader will, as part of his/her functions, also perform process reviews of various financial functions throughout the partnership, and will have a matrix relationship with personnel in global finance, IT, and the controller’s office to accomplish such reviews. The PL will also undertake special projects at the direction of the CFO in areas of financial systems development, Global Treasury, Vision Fund (World Vision’ Microfinance entity) and other areas to be determined.
The Partnership Leader for Shared Financial Services and Special Projects will provide the leadership and direction to ensure the development of relevant financial information, and timely financial budgeting and planning and financial reporting for senior leadership, the WVI board, and key stakeholders around the partnership. The PL will assist the CFO in managing and controlling the organization’s financial processes, making the necessary changes to upgrade and improve process, policies or procedures, and develop his/her team.
The PL will ensure alignment with the mission, core values, partnership policies and strategies of World Vision and will champion the financial and ethical integrity of World Vision’s ministries, serving as an effective leader of responsible change. And, he/she will ensure accountability and compliance with applicable legal, governmental and regulatory requirements.
