IT Country Manager - Sub Sahara Africa

The role

The IT Country Manager is responsible for the total delivery of IT services and support in Sub Sahara Africa. This is a member of the Sandvik IT GSS Regional Management team.

Key performance areas

• Local production, delivery and supply of I.T. services
• Customer relations and satisfaction by ensuring appropriate support and resources for I.T. delivery
• Responsible for delivery of global services in the country
• Responsible for the financial results and reporting for SIT GSS in the country
• Responsible to manage local budget based on business plan
• Responsible to propose local IT investments required
• Evaluate external contracts according to Sandvik's Purchase Policy
• Accountable to align local organisation with global iniatives .
• Managing local employees as Hosting Manager:
• Legal Manager, ensuring adherence to local work regulations, corporate policy and service delivery

Local Statutory responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate internal and external audits
• Adherence to Kings III and Companies Act

Your profile

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• 3 years degree or equivalent to 10 years IT experience in multiple fields
• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role / IT role at senior management level
• Knowledge of IT business processes
• Good project management skills
• Excellent customer focus
• Peoplemanagement and budget experience is critical
• Report writing skills are important.
