Tetra Tech (www.tetratechintdev.com) is recruiting for a short-term position to support the USAID funded Planning for Resilience in East Africa through Policy, Adaptation, Research, and Economic Development (PREPARED) Project. PREPARED is a five-year, multi-organization, comprehensive program aimed at mainstreaming integrated, multi-sectoral, evidence-based, climate-resilient development planning and program implementation into the EAC and its Partner States’ development agendas.
Short-Term Consultant: Climate Change and Communications Specialist
• Develop a communication plan including innovative, creative, proactive and advocacy strategies in line with the EAC Communication Policy and Strategy;
• Develop content and messages for website, brochures, and other communication material;
• Build a network database of relevant contacts for the EAC CCCU; and
• Strengthen the capacity of regional stakeholders on EAC Climate Change Knowledge Network and Resource Centre; and
• Collaborating with other PREPARED Program Partners to ensure the timely and effective communication of Program successes.
Qualifications: MA Communications, Psychology or related discipline; 10+ years’ experience in media development and communications for national or regional institutions; experience in behavior change communication strategies and public outreach campaigns is a distinct advantage.
