TANROADS is a semi-autonomous Agency responsible for Maintenance and Development of Trunk and regional Roads Network In Tanzania Mainland, Implementation of road safety and environmental measures, provision of advice on the strategic framework, policies and plans for road sector.
The Regional Manager's Office TAN ROADS - TABORA, on behalf of the Chief Executive, TAN ROADS, intends to recruit suitable qualified and competent Tanzanians to fill the following various vacancies in the Regional Office on Contract Terms (Renewable Subject to Satisfactory performance) in order to improve effectiveness and efficiency in various operations.
Procurement/Supplies Officer
Education/Professional qualification:
A National Form IV or VI certificate.
Holder of Foundation Stage I examination in Material Management of National
Procurement and Supplies Management
Examination or Diploma in Material
Management from a recognized institute.
Must be computer literate.
Must have a work experience of at least 2 years.
Application must not be more than 35 years of age.
Must be a Tanzania citizen.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Process procurement of supplies and services required by the user departments .
Plan and control supplies.
Design and maintain an effective and efficiency stores record keeping system.
Coordinate with user departments/unit or matters relating to procuring of stores in Materials Management .
Write and issue equipment, materials and maintain an effective and efficiency store record keeping system.
Receive stores and issues equipment, materials and supplies.
Count, sorts or weigh incoming articles to verify receipt item on requisition or invoices.
Ensure compliance with PPA and, relevant regulations.
In liason with Office Supervisor and accountant marks or courses to be marked, identifying, codes figures or letters on articles, equipment, furniture etc.
Supervises storage methods, conveys/transport materials and supplies
Prepare periodic, special or perpetual inventory/ stock reports.
Performs such other related duties as assigned by the Regional Manager. .
Assistant Accountant
(TNRD SCALE 04)
Key Education/professional qualification:
Holder of professional Level II of the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA) or
Diploma in Accountancy from a recognized institute.
Experience in use of Accounting packages (i.e. E-by EPICOR) is an added advantage. ,
Applicant must not be more than 35 years of age.
Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support and assists Head of Accounts and Administration (HAA) in performing variety of accounting duties such as keeping of vote accounts and record keeping.
Prepare reports especially COST ACCOUNTING under supervision of Accountant.
Perform such other related duties as assigned by the Accountant.

Duties and responsibilities
Inspects and report condition of the designated roads on monthly basis or at more frequent intervals if required.
Prepare and supervises monthly work
programme for petty contractors undertaking routine/recurrent, periodic and emergency
maintenance works as directed.
Supervise roads and bridges maintenance works as directed.
Measures and recommend payment for certified works.
Certifies worksheet, delivery notes and similar documentation as directed by the Engineers.
Prepare report as required.
Carries out in-situ testing and sites samples.
Undertake all regional laboratory tests.
Record and reports on all tests results.
Perform such other related duties as may be assigned by the Regional Manager. .

Must have attended SEAP programe.
Must be computer literate.
Must have clean track record.
Applicant must not be more than 35 years.
Must be a Tanzania citizen.
Duties and responsibilities
Will generally be responsible for undertaking activities assigned by the Regional Manager and reports to Head of Engineering.
Specific activities shall include:
Prepare contract documents and drawings for the maintenance contracts.
Investigate source of good quality construction materials along the roads.
Facilitate the procurement of road and bridge maintenance contracts.
Plan and undertake inventory, condition, traffic and other survey for the roads and bridges regularly.
Supervision maintenance works contracts.
Monitor performance of "Contractors, process
Contractors invoice and facilitate timely payment.
Review Contractor's time and cost claims.
Attend regular site meetings and ensure that the proceedings are adequately recorded.
Prepare regular works progress report for the roads and bridges.
