The Global Director will be responsible for the leadership of the Career Development Centre (CDC).  He or she will agree departmental strategy and targets with the Assistant Dean and Dean for Degree Programmes and lead the department to deliver against those targets. He/she will be a member of the school’s senior management team and the degree programme leadership team, contributing as appropriate to cross-school initiatives.
He/She will lead an existing team of 30 professionals across 3 campuses (Singapore, Fontainebleau and Abu Dhabi) and be responsible for growing that team over time to 35-40 full-time professionals supported by 5-10 permanent part-time career advisors.  Based in Singapore, the holder of this role is expected to be highly visible both within the global INSEAD community and externally through engagement with employers, press and peer schools.
In addition to the global team leadership role, the post-holder will be the face of CDC on the Singapore campus to recruiters, students, faculty and staff.  As a global expert in career development, he or she will oversee the design and roll-out of world-class career development programmes for MBA students and working professionals, fully exploiting digital technologies and state of the art distance learning techniques.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:
  • Ensuring that the percentage of MBA students employed after 3 months is comparable to other leading one year programmes and close to that achieved by top 2-year programmes
  • The number and quality of employer relationships and job opportunities made available to students, participants and alumni
  • Recruiter satisfaction with the INSEAD relationship, student preparedness and the service delivered by the CDC, as measured annually by a recruiter survey and ranking organisations
  • Number of students and participants completing the INSEAD career development programmes and their assessment of those programmes and their various elements
  • MBA student satisfaction as measured at the time of securing job across the areas of marketing, developing and connecting talent and later by ranking organisations
  • Executive degree participant and alumni satisfaction as measured by surveys of service users
  • Number of students from whom the school gathers employment and salary information
