NATURE OF SCOPE

1.Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) was established under the Ports Act No. 17 of 2004. The Authority is vested with the obligation and responsibility of developing managing and promoting Maritime Sector in Tanzania mainland

The major role of TPS is to enhance the advantages of the geographical position of Tanzania’s maritime resources

2. In light of the above, TPA invites applications from suitably qualified and competent applicants to fill the following vacant posts

Water Master Technician -x 6

Station: Mwanza , Kigoma and Kyela: Salary Grade: TPGS 5
Key Responsibilities
Operating the Water Master Dredging Plant
Taking preventive maintenance and repair of the equipment when necessary as per manufacturer’s manual/recommendations
Preparation of spare parts requirement
Monitoring of operation
Documentation of all technical/operational events
Overall incharge of the equipment
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Job specification
Academic/Basic Qualification
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Diploma in electrical Engineering
Computer literacy
Or equivalent qualification (FTC)

Added advantage
Ability to operate excavators
Fluent in English (both reading and speaking)
Marine safety measures are added advantage

Age limit
35 Years

REMUNERATION
The successful candidate will be offered an attractive and competitive remuneration package commensurate with Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) salary scales as shown against the post
