The Green Chemistry Centre of Excellence is at the forefront of research into the application of novel green chemical and sustainable technologies. The GCCE has recently won substantial new funding from the ERDF to develop an Industrial Engagement Facility to enable pre-startups, startups, SMEs and LCs to use specialist technologies, introduce innovative production methods and promote R&D within the field of generating valuable chemicals from waste within the substantial food and chemicals processing industries particularly in the Yorkshire and Humber region.
The Green Chemistry Technical Liaison Officer will provide technical, scientific and commercial support, including developing a knowledge of the wide range of reactor and analytical equipment available in the Green Chemistry Centre.
The successful candidate will have a degree in Chemistry, relevant experience of chemistry based laboratory work including analytical techniques in a research or business setting and a good theoretical and practical knowledge of green chemistry.
The salary will be in the range: £29,249 to £31,020 per annum on grade 6 of the University's payscales
The post is full time and the hours of work are 37 per week. The post is available immediately and until March 31 2015 (a maximum of 31 months).
