The Centro Internacional para Saude Reprodutiva - Mocambique, ICRH-M is an organization that supports research and provision of quality reproductive health services, including HIV/AIDS.
ICRH-M is looking for a manager/researcher to work in a project that aims at HIV prevention and mitigation among Most At Risk Populations (MARP) in Tete Province.
The project manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Technical responsibilities: • To implement and monitor the projects “Reproductive Health for Most At Risk Populations” in collaboration with other ICRH-M project staff; • To ensure the technical and scientific quality of ICRH-M HIV/STI projects and activities; • To support training and research activities of HIV projects implemented; • To write technical and activity reports on HIV/STI project activities of ICRH-M, as required by ICRH-M and donors • To prepare or contribute to regular scientific publications on the work of ICRH-M, in particular of ICRH in Tete Province.
- Managerial responsibilities: • To ensure the follow-up of the administrative and financial issues of MARP programmes/projects of Tete Province. • To lead the development and implementation of annual work and monitoring plans of all ICRH-M projects in collaboration with the project officers. • To prepare, in collaboration with the ICRH Mozambique colleagues, project proposals to acquire additional funding for the organisation.
- Representational responsibilities: • To represent ICRH-M in Tete Province to governmental partners, such as the Provincial Health Directorate and local and international non-governmental organisations, in coordination with the Senior Researcher – Maternal Health and the country coordinator.
ICRH-M is looking for a medical doctor, with knowledge of sexual and reproductive health and rights issues in low resource settings, in particular for Most At Risk Populations. The candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in project management. Having a Master in Public Health and experience in research would be an asset. The candidate should speak fluently English and Portuguese.
