Manager, Legal and Regulatory Affairs

Reporting to the Group Company Secretary, this position will be responsible for managing the provision of quality legal services to KTDA, its subsidiaries and managed factory companies, while ensuring adherence to internal and applicable external regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining the depository of legal records, laws, regulations, licenses, legal notices, conventions and protocols while monitoring compliance and providing reports on the same;
- Ensuring that the strategy for the legal and regulatory services is implemented;
- Reviewing government and other international regulations that will impact on the operations of KTDA, its subsidiaries and managed factory companies while advising on the necessary actions to ensure compliance;
- Reviewing formulated legal policies and procedures and verifying adherence to internal (KTDA) and external regulations;
- Providing legal and regulatory advice and services to the KTDA Group as well as approving legal and regulatory related material that is distributed to KTDA group of companies; and
- Preparing legal reports and opinion on maters involving companies and presenting to management meetings.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Laws (LL.B) from a recognized university, a Diploma in Laws from Kenya School of Law and must be a Certified Public Secretary (CPS).
They must also have at least 7 years as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, with experience in litigation and commercial law in a large organization and 5 years as a Certified Public Secretary (CPS).
