Tanzania Professionals Network (TPN)
is a Non-Governmental Organization which brings together Professional
Tanzanians and corporate from various industries within and outside the country
to address cross-cutting issues. The top agenda of the organization is to
mobilize resources by using the power of the brain to transform our country
professionally, politically, economically, socially, and technologically.
Founded in 2007, TPN desires to become
the largest network of professional TANZANIANs globally; with members in every
continent and formal networks in several major cities/towns in Tanzania and
around the world.
TPN members include executive-level
professionals from NGO’s, Industries, Banks, Financial organizations,
companies, media & entertainment and influential areas of the public and
nonprofit sector who share an interest in creating economic opportunities and
encouraging civic action.
TPN members are Consultants, Lawyers,
Doctors, Engineers, Accountants, Finance, IT Specialists, Economists, Business
men and women, Entrepreneurs, Teachers, Human Resources and Administrative
personnel etc.
TPN is registered under the Ministry
of Home Affairs, Registrar of Societies under the Societies Act Cap. 337 R.E.
2002, with the Certificate of Registration Number SO. 9746.
TPN is in
the process of rolling out its 5 year Strategic Plan which has several
programmes and projects to be implemented.
Duties/Assignments:
The Program Officer cum Office Manager
will:

Oversee
all programmes and project activities and be the main contact point for TPN.
·
Ensure
project activities comply with the policies and regulations of TPN and donors.
·
Responsible
for overseeing the development and execution of project deliverables, lead
project planning, budgeting, action plans and monitoring processes.
·
Responsible
for submitting activity reports, meeting minutes and financial reports on
regular basis.
·
Oversee
the preparation and submission of annual activity-based project budgets as well
as monthly and quarterly financial reports and sending of new funding requests.
·
Lead
and motivate the project team and monitor project activities and project
expenditure and coordinate work with consultants and volunteers in various
projects
·
Ensure
close collaboration and coordination with cooperating partners to guarantee
smooth implementation of activities and achievement of results.
·
Employ
resourcefulness in project design, implementation and monitoring, trouble
shoots project problems, identifies and implements creative solutions.
·
Supervise
all salaried staff and volunteers
·
Coordinate
all TPN meetings, manage office equipment and other resources
·
Manage
and update TPN website, portals and other online platforms
·
Perform
any other duty assigned by the Secretary General or any honorary Official
Qualifications:
Any
graduate with experience in NGO’s and/or Project Management skills; must be ICT
Literate; possession of a post graduate qualification will be an added
advantage.
