GRM International is hiring a Soil Contamination Expert to support The Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD) for 2 missions, each mission for two weeks (10 working days). The first mission is expected to take place early December 2012 and the second in early January 2013.
In this role, you will ideally:
- Help set up the soil contamination program at EAD;
- Prepare the project proposal and terms of reference(TOR);
- Identify sources and types of contaminants in Abu Dhabi Emirate;
- Identify Laboratory characterization of contaminant sites;
- Identify remediation strategy for each contamination type & site;
- Establish local standards for contaminated sites that suits Abu Dhabi Emirate;
- Build capacity and raise awareness of the risks and problems associated with soil contamination;
- Undertake field visits to some of the contaminated sites in Abu Dhabi Emirate.
