Online Editor - Broadcasting

Job Ref: HR-ON-09-2012

The successful candidate will report to the Managing Editor – Broadcasting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Multimedia storytelling across platforms;
• Checking and correcting editorial products for facts, accuracy, taste, house- style, language use, clarity and balance to conform to NMG Editorial Policy;
• Ensure NMG content is properly projected on digital platforms, including SEO;
• Ensuring timely publishing to digital platforms;
• Social media engagement;
• Converged story-telling.

Skills, knowledge and experience requirement:

• University degree in journalism or a related field;
• Good knowledge of African current affairs and strong news awareness;
• Skilled in capturing and editing video and audio for digital audiences.
