The Ministry of Health /Community health Desk wishes to recruit 2 qualified and competent person for the post of RapidSMS/mUbuzima Project Manager

Duties and responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the daily management of the RapidSMS/mUbuzima project; ensure effective channels of communication between Permanent Secretary of Health, RapidSMS/mUbuzima Taskforce and implementing partners including convening the RapidSMS/mUbuzima Taskforce meetings, documenting minutes and dissemination of information to all partners.
- Regular briefing of updates on RapidSMS/mUbuzima to Chair of Task force and Permanent Secretary of Health
- Coordinate, supervise and follow-up the training course for CHWs ensuring a high level on hands skill acquisition and document observations and activities
- Working with software programmer, observe usage pattern and challenges encountered by end-users, review rejected message and modify code when necessary
- Conduct monthly supervision to different districts and review implementation process. Review hand copies of SMS alerts and ensure consistency of data
- Analyze monthly incoming data to produce monthly critical indicators of RapidSMS/mUbuzima including but not limited to ANC registrations, number of ANC visits, and initiation of labor in the community.
- Analyze incoming data and identify non-responding or alert prone CHWs, consult their supervisors at the Health center or District level and initiate appropriate follow-up
- Regular co-ordination meeting of the RapidSMS/mUbuzima Taskforce
- Performs other duties, as required by the supervisor from time to time
- Degree in health informatics, management informatics with background in public health system, Development Management,
- At least 3 years experience working in public health, statistical analysis, data and databases development and management for public health
- At least three years of progressively professional experience in data and database management and management for public health programs
- Sound knowledge in Microsoft Excel program and understanding of Maternal and Child Health service delivery and indicators
- Experienced in the application of mobile computing devices for public health
- Having a proven track record in website development will be an added advantage
- Strong fluency in written and spoken English and strong proficiency in French as well as excellent oral and written communication skills
