Brief description: DFID seeks to fill the position of Human Resources and Protocol Manager, this involves managing the Human Resources and Logistics portfolio in the British High Commission, Lusaka.
Main responsibilities will include the following:
- Undertake all aspects of Human Resources for all HMG Departments located in the British High Commission, including oversight of transport, logistics and protocol for the in-country staff.
- Leading the delivery of effective Learning and Development across all HMG Departments.
- Line Manager to the HR Officer, Transport/Protocol Officer and the Receptionist.
Qualifications and Affiliations
- A Bachelors Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or relevant social sciences degree is desirable but not essential. Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management or equivalent.
Knowledge and Skills
- 3 – 5 years relevant HR work experience.
- Knowledge of Zambia’s labour laws and practice.
- Proven track record of leading and managing teams.
- A high level of numeracy and good information technology skills are necessary.
