KENYA / UGANDA HR MANAGER: JOB PURPOSE
Management of Human Resources according to group policies and procedures and oversee all HR functions. Liaise with Line Managers on a regular basis to ensure that they are familiar with the policies and procedures to manage their direct reports to avoid risk and improve focus and development. Provide support to the Group HR Director with HR related matters..
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
To recruit, develop, and retain employees who meet specific job requirements of each position
within the relevant departments.
2. INCENTIVES AND PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
Facilitate a reward strategy and ensure incentive schemes are documented and placed on
personal files. Facilitate quarterly performance reviews and setting KPA’s & KPI’s in line with
business strategy and goals.
3. INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS
Ensure that all Industrial Relations issues are in accordance with the Labour Relations Act,
putting the Company at minimum risk.
4. PAYROLL & PERSONNEL RECORDS
Maintenance and administration of personnel records and payroll capturing.
5. HR POLICIES & PROCEDURES
Formulation and introducing job relevant policies and processes.
6. TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
Implementation of a workplace skills plan to develop employees.
7. DISCIPLINARIES
Take necessary action as and when needed in accordance with labour processes.
8. EMPLOYEE WELLBEING / RETENSION
Implement and execute employee wellbeing practises to ensure Eaton retain and attract skilled
expertise.
9. MONTHLY REPORTING
Responsible for monthly HR reporting.
10. OFFICE MANAGEMENT
Manage day to day office duties. Assisting with the setting up of the new office. Monitor
maintenance requirements, stationary ordering, basic grocery orders, housekeeping etc.
Desired Skills & Experience
1. EDUCATION: HR Related Diploma / Degree or equivalent.
2. EXPERIENCE: 3 – 5 Years Generalist Experience, 2 years in a management role.
3. KNOWLEDGE: All HR Related Statutory and Labour Legislation.
4. SKILLS: Must be able to articulate him / herself well; strong attention to detail; assertive; ability
to multi task; interpersonal skills; confident; take initiative; good problem solving skills;
must be able to lead a team.
5. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Fluent English. French as an additional language an
advantage.
