The Canadian Cooperation office is seeking an Education Advisor to work as part of its Education team. The ideal candidate will have an advanced university degree in education, public administration or international development, along with a minimum of five (5) years of related work experience. Direct experience working with the Government of Tanzania, Development Partners and/or Education stakeholders in the context of Budget Support or Programme-Based Approaches will be considered a particular asset.
The position requires demonstrated competency and skills in the areas of critical analysis, oral and written communication, interpersonal and public relations, planning and organization, project management, problem solving and time management. Ability to read and analyze budgets, financial statements and audit reports will be considered an asset. Applicants must have full written and oral fluency in English; fluency in Kiswahili will also be considered an asset. Competency with Microsoft and other commonly used computer software applications is also required.
The position is being offered as a short term employment contract to March 31, 2013 and includes a competitive salary and benefit package.
