National Water Conservation & Pipeline Corporation (NWCPC) was established under the State Corporations Act, Chapter 446 of the Laws of Kenya vide Legal Notice 270 of 24th June, 1988.
Following the enactment of the Water Act (2002), the Corporation’s roles changed and it assumed the following new mandate:

- To develop state schemes and spearhead dam construction for water supplies, flood control and other multi-purpose use, land drainage and construction of dykes.
- To carry out ground water recharge using flood water and drilling of boreholes on behalf of the government.
- To develop new, retain existing and expand bulk water supply to Water Services Boards and other service providers.
The Corporation is now seeking to recruit suitable, self driven, result oriented, highly motivated and qualified personnel to fill the following vacant positions on permanent and pensionable basis to be stationed in Nairobi.

- Must be in possession of Bachelors degree in Law.
- Must be in possession of Masters degree in Law.
- Must be an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
- Must hold a Current Law Practicing Certificate.
- Must be Registered with the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries (K).
- Computer proficiency.
- Has an experience of 9 years as a practising Advocate.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To advise on legal and regulatory matters, constitution of the Board and stakeholders meeting. Advise on corporate governance.
- To ensure safe custody of collaterals and chattels and other organization properties.
- To coordinates issuance of legal undertakings.
- To advise on negotiations and takes part in corporate deals provision of secretarial services to the Board and its Committees and liaising with external lawyers and other legal bodies.
