The African Network for the Prevention and Protection against Child Abuse and Neglect (ANPPCAN) Uganda Chapter is a national child focused organization working to protect and promote the rights of children with particular focus on preventing and redressing violations of children's rights. ANPPCAN Uganda Chapter seeks to recruit competent dynamic and creative individuals to join her team of passionate child advocacy professionals in the following positions:
Position: ACCOUNTS/ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANTS
Duty Station: KITGUM (1) and RAKAI (1) DISTRICTS
Reports to: PROGRAMME OFFICER
Major Responsibilities
Responsible for supporting the Programme Officer in handling the Administrative and Financial functions at the district offices.
SPECIFIC TASKS:
1) Preparing payment vouchers.
2) Posting both manual and computerized Cashbook and Ledger entries.
3) Preparing monthly bank reconciliation and other statements.
4) Reporting on the use and consumption of fuel, stationary and other inputs.
5) Maintaining an effective manual and electronic filing system for the office.
6) Managing and reporting on the utilization of office consumables and inputs.
7) The management of the office's transport services.
8) Ensuring proper and timely maintenance and repair of office equipment and facilities.
9) Supporting in handling staff welfare matters.
10) Coordinating ANPPCAN meetings and travel arrangements.
11) Maintaining a high standard of office cleanliness and lay out.
12) Reviewing, verifying, sorting and filing accounts records.
13) Disseminating regularly relevant information through the media and other relevant fora so as to enhance respect and promotion of children's rights.

Qualifications and Experience:
1) Minimum qualification of a Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Accounting & Finance, Procurement or Business Administration.
2) Relevant working experience of at least one year (either as paid staff, volunteer or intern)
3) High proficiency in computer skills especially Excel and Ms. Word.
4) Knowledge of QuickBooks will be an advantage
