Additionally, the jobholder has a responsibility of building quality culture and providing effective expert quality advice to Processing Staff and throughout the supply chain for continuous analysis of quality performance and feedback for corrective actions. ,
Key Responsibilities:
• Custody of product specifications by ensuring that the correct packing instructions are in use and are duly implemented by the Processing Team.
• Calibrates all the GLT quality equipment to ensure that the department meets the minimum BAT standards and guarantee integrity of the results reported.
• Ensure that all product quality parameters (Product Moisture Content, Particle Size Distribution, Chemical Analysis, Product Temperature, Cutting Quality and Non Tobacco Related Materials) are conducted in accordance with stipulated procedures and values imparted accordingly.
• Ensure that predictive tests such as lamina ratio, flag on stem are carried out to ascertain the processing efficiency.
• Carry out a mass balance to monitor and evaluate the process for accountability.
• Ensure that checks in moisture content are made on incoming leaf and compiles periodic report for circulation to management.
• Evaluate, interpret, prepare and present to management: shift, daily, weekly, monthly quality performance and Hygiene reports and ensure corrective actions are taken whenever necessary.
• Carry out independent audits of the quality facilitates, observed quality performance indices including methodologies and carry out corrective actions to ensure integrity and consistency

Skills and Experience:
• The job holder must have at least a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Technology. Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or any other related field.
• Should possess at least 2 years working experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment
• In depth understanding of processing and quality control equipment and procedures
