Job Purpose
Reporting directly to the Head of Economic Justice (EJ) Campaigning, this post is primarily responsible for global operational planning, plan implementation and monitoring with the Head of Economic Justice Campaigning(HEJC) and management team to ensure delivery on the campaign’s strategic objectives and goals. The post holder is part of the campaign management team, and deputizes for the HEJC.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and maintain structured operational planning and management tools including, e.g. operational plans, detailed schedules and work plans, memoranda of understanding, terms of reference, etc.
• Manage and monitor the project milestones and deliverables to ensure on-time completion.
• Assist the management team in proactively identifying, tracking and solving problems and blockages
• Analyze and identify areas requiring legal support to mitigate legal and reputational risks by working in coordination with OI legal advisers
• Supervise monitoring, evaluation and learning plan with the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Lead
• Liaise with OI Gender Justice Team advisers to help support gender integration across the campaign strategy and MEL
• Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
• Proactively liaise with key campaign staff across the Confederation, including holding regular status checks with leads.
• Motivate and influence project team members to take positive action and accountability for their assigned pieces of work
• Support the Head of Economic Justice Campaign as Deputy when she is unavailable, to ensure the efficient running of the management team and take decisions on specific issues.
• Line manage the Economic Justice Campaign Administrator who is primarily responsible for day to day administrative support, communications, knowledge management and budget duties
• Line manage the work of the Funding Coordinator, working with campaign leads, affiliates, and countries to organize and monitor human and financial resource requirements .

Essential
• Solid understanding of program cycle management and project management principles
• Proven experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects
• Experience with risk management and monitoring, evaluation and learning principles
• Experienced in program and resource planning and budgeting and fundraising processes
• Experience of working in the international NGO sector and familiarity with campaign and advocacy strategies and techniques
• Demonstrable understanding of general issues around international development
• Ability to think and operate strategically and creatively.
• High level of organizational and time management skills, and attention to details.
• Superior writing skills and an ability to communicate clearly and work cooperatively in a cross-cultural setting
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse ‘virtual team’
