WWF International, Director, Programme Office Performance and Development

Location:

This position is based at WWF International in Gland (near Geneva), Switzerland.

Role:

The Director, Programme Office Performance and Development ensures that all WWF International managed POs in Europe, Asia and Africa reach the agreed level of and improve their overall operational performance and advance in key institutional and organisational development areas.
This role also streamlines business processes and procedures and ensures effective implementation of all adopted policies, procedures and legal requirements.

What you need:

Higher level degree in international business or finance, e.g., MBA;
At least 5 years of senior leadership and management experience, with a proven track record in leading and working with multi-cultural and decentralised teams, in particular in developing countries would be an advantage;
Broad knowledge of financial management, operational issues and performance management, including the development and implementation of successful Business Plans;
Previous experience in a hands-on management and operational role, with broad international exposure;
Strong management and leadership skills with a high degree of accountability;
Experience in working in Matrix and Network organisation and the ability to lead without formal authority,
Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact with and influence senior management staff in POs and relevant staff in different functional areas in a positive manner;
Highly analytical and strategic with the ability to see the big picture and context;
Excellent written and spoken English and French;
Ability to drive change and high performance;
Decisive, proactive, collaborative and an excellent communicator;
Available to travel extensively;
Passion and commitment for conservation and sustainable development
