Location: Initially Malawi, then either Malawi or Rwanda
Salary range: starting £24,784 + benefits
Tenure: Fixed term until 30th November 2018 with possible extension. Start date is ASAP
International Service empowers women, children and young people, and disabled people to access their rights and create positive, sustainable change. We currently work in West, East and Southern Africa and the occupied Palestinian territories.
We strengthen the skills and knowledge of local organisations – increasing the impact and reach of their work and their ability to advocate for positive, sustainable change.
As part of a consortium of organisations we deliver the International Citizen Service (ICS) a youth volunteering programme which creates active global citizens and contributes to sustainable development impact across the world.
We have a fantastic vacancy for someone to join our International Programmes team to provide strategic leadership, co-ordination and management across International Service delivery in South and East Africa (SEA).
Key areas of work will include:
- To lead the delivery and development of International Programmes in SEA
- To support the delivery of ICS ( International Citizen Service) in SEA
- To lead and support income generation regionally
- To line manage and give strategic support and leadership to Programme Managers and other staff in the region as appropriate
- To contribute to the strategic and operational development of International Service in the region
- Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning
- To represent International Service at a strategic level
