  • Leading Digital TV industry player StarTimes Media (K) Co. Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional who is suitably qualified to fill in the position of a Production Manager.Department: Content
    Reports to: Content Director
    Job Objective: The Production Manager interprets and implements the vision of Head of Production in quest to ensure localization of content and channels.
    Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Nurture and Develop positive relations with content providers (Local Producers and 3rd party international channels), acquire their forward schedule
  • Efficiently manage all aspects of content production; schedules, budgets, copyright clearance, reporting etc.
  • Supervision of all personnel in Production and Post-Production unit including: Reporters/Presenters//Cameramen, editors
  • Manage all technical and QC aspects suitable content-building and production
  • Responsible for dubbing studio (based on HQ directive) and the dubbing artists
  • Pioneer the development of low-budget reality TV concept and Event TV (in collaboration with Production Head)
  • Prepare production schedules/script breakdowns and confirm appropriate time allocation for all processes.
  • Provide logistical breakdowns of scripts, detailing all aspects of production requirements,
  • Maintain a proper record of raw material/content produced - complete with detailed metadata
  • Organizing and directing production schedules (including scheduling studio or location interviews, studio discussion, special focus documentaries recordings, drama presentation, vox populi, special projects, television commercials, event coverage etc).
  • Assist Content Director (and AD Sales Dept) in development of product-placement concepts and strategies (aimed at local potential sponsors)Skills and Competencies:

  • Minimum, Diploma in the fields of Journalism, Mass Communication
  • Must have at the minimum 7 years’ experience
  • Should have thorough knowledge of international and local content trends
  • Must have strong practical production knowledge with proven record to that effect
  • Must have previous working experience on drama series in the same capacity or other equivalent experience.
  • Have working experience with DSLR and other types of professional cameras and production gear
  • Should have international working experience in the media/production circle will be an added advantage
  • Should have a strong command of English and the local language
  • Able to manage production budgets and schedules effectively.
  • Have thorough knowledge of international and local content trends
  • Should have international working experience in the media/production circle will be an added advantage
  • Should have strong media and content producer relationships.
