The Local Government Training Institute (LGTI) is a higher learning institution under the Prime Minister’s Office, Regional Administration and Local Government (PMORALG). The institute was established by Act of Parliament No 26 of 1994, as a body corporate, to provide training, research, advisory and consultancy services in the fields of local government finance, administration and management. As such, the institute falls under the subject sector of Business and Management. The said subject sector includes Accountancy, Financial Management, Materials Management, Human Resource Management Law, and other related subjects.
7.1 ASSISTANT LECTURER PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
– 1 POST (RE-ADVERTISED)
7.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Teaching up to NTA level 8 (Bachelor Degree);
• Prepares learning resources for tutorial exercises;
• Conducts Research, Seminars and case studies;
• Carries out Consultancy and community services under supervision;
• Supervise Students Projects;
• Prepares teaching manual; and
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
7.1.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Masters Degree either in Procurement and Supplies Management or Procurement and Supplies chain Management AND must have obtained an upper second with a minimum GPA of 3.5 in first degree in either Procurement and Supplies / Materials Management , Procurement and Supplies chain Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized higher learning Institution.
7.1.3 REMUNERATION

7.2 SENIOR LIBRARY ASSISTANT II – 2 POSTS (RE-ADVERTISED)
7.2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparations of books orders
Lending out and receiving in books
Assists in computer and CD-ROM searches
Assists in ordering books and periodicals
Performs other duties assigned by his/her supervisor
7.2.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Diploma in Library and Information studies from any recognized institution with substantial competence in computer applications.
Experience of at least three years in similar position.
7.2.3 REMUNERATION
• Attractive remuneration package in accordance with the Institution’s salary scale -
PGSS 10.
