CARE USA is now seeking a Team Leader for the Pathways Program. Our Pathways program was launched in November 2011, initially in six countries: Bangladesh, India, Malawi, Tanzania, Mali and Ghana with core funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation – the goal being to empower poor women smallholder farmers and to increase their productivity in more equitable agriculture system at scale. Pathways serves as one of CARE's flagship food and livelihoods security programs, achieved through a careful alignment with CARE International's food security strategy, in particular the learning and advocacy agenda articulated for various geographic regions.
The Pathways Team Leader will provide leadership for the implementation, governance, coordination, management, and learning outcomes of this multi-country program. S/he will be responsible for managing the Pathways central team, and putting in place processes and systems for coordination, management and communication across the program.
This will include setting up and convening the program's management and leadership committee, ensuring its effective functioning and support to the program, as well as clearly articulated agreements and commitments between CARE USA and implementing country offices. Responsibilities

Team management and direct supervision of staff
Provide strategic direction and overall program management
Provide active support to the food, justice and livelihood's 'innovation & learning space'
Resource mobilization
Networking / representation / positioning & influencing Requirements
Bachelors degree in international development, agriculture, management, or other related degree
5 years or more of demonstrable experience managing development programs in an international setting
Experience in donor relations and resource mobilization
Working with and leading teams
Experience in food and livelihood security, and gender and women empowerment programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
In depth experience with program design and budgeting
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Excellent presentation skills
