The Institute of Accountancy Arusha is a parastatal academic institution offering undergraduate and postgraduate training courses. It is established by the Institute of Accountancy Act No.1 of 1990 and is located at Njiro Hill, seven kilometers Southern-East of Arusha City. The Institute wishes to recruit a number of suitable, motivated, potential and capable human resources from the market on three year contract Scope of the position and its expected outputs: Holder of this position is responsible for all assigned duties in the ICT areas of specialization. The outputs in this position are expected in the quality, efficient and effective delivery of service pertinent to IAA ICT Policy with big and value adding results with integrity and honesty. Position relationships: Reports to the ICT Manager; • Supervises – ICT Technicians

The holder of this position must have the following:
Holder of Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics or equivalent qualification from a recognized University/Institution and
must have a maximum age of 40 years
Key duties and responsibilities:
Assistant Systems Analysts
• Install, configure and manage all network and server equipment (excluding cabling systems)
• Ensure security of IAA data and information as retained in IAA computers
• Provide reliable email services to staff and students
• Ensure that suitable backup and redundant systems are implemented and routinely tested
• Ensure the network and server systems and procedures meet the IT Services base service levels and any negotiated service levels
• Provide front line network troubleshooting and network diagnostics
• Oversee and perform, where necessary, all server room and wiring closet equipment procurement, installation, configuration and testing
• Ensure server and network performance are adequate for IAA users
• Responsible for server side student and staff resources – logons, scripting, security, disk space allocation, printing and email
• Maintain systems documentation for all servers, network devices and server software
• Coordinate hardware and software licensing, warranty and vendor service agreements
Systems Administrators
• Implement software patches and updates
• To develop and/or customize software to meet specific requirements of the Institute;
• To support repair and maintenance of all IAA computer hardware;
• To assist in the upkeep of network infrastructure;
• To maintain documentation of all network cabling systems;
• To provide front line network support, troubleshooting and network diagnosis;
• To support installation, configuration and management of all network equipment;
• To provide support for staff and computer
Remuneration:
