Everett Aviation is looking for suitably qualified candidates to enter a sponsorship program for ab-initio helicopter pilot training leading to the award of a Commercial Pilot Licence (Helicopters).
Candidates wishing to be considered must meet all of the criteria below:
Be a Tanzanian citizen.
Be between the age of 22 and 30 on the date of application.
Hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent level of technical education) having achieved a Division 1 A Level Certificate including Mathematics and Physics, or hold a Commercial Pilots Licence with Instrument Rating.
Be fluent in the English language (reading, writing, speaking and understanding).
Be medically fit and capable of passing a Class 1 aviation medical examination with an aviation medical specialist of the company's choosing.
Have no criminal or drug convictions and be of good character.
Be available to attend the selection process in Dar es Salaam.
Be prepared to spend one year abroad for the duration of the training.
Be willing to enter into a bonding agreement with the company.
Hold a current passport valid beyond June 2015.
Any applicant not meeting all of the above criteria will not be considered and should not apply.
Candidates who comply with the minimum requirements for application must apply before the 29 November 2013 and may be earmarked for further selection. Suitably qualified candidates will be invited to take part in the selection process to be held in Dar es Salaam that will include the following:
Psycho-metric Evaluation: All applicants will be required to undergo aptitude and general cognitive ability assessments.
Psycho-motoric assessment: A hand-eye co-ordination test must be passed.
Formal Selection Board: Candidates will be interviewed by a Selection Panel comprising of senior company representatives.
Medical Examination: Candidates will be subjected to a thorough aviation medical examination.
The following traits will serve as measures for evaluation during the selection process: motivation, perseverance, purposefulness, creativity, knowledge, adaptability, analytical ability and decision making.
