AMREF has thirteen National offices in Europe and North America for liaisons and fundraising. AMREF Tanzania, one of the fast expanding country office programmes is largely supported by multilateral , Bilateral and national donors, implementing several programmes including HIV/AIDS/TB/STI, Family Health, Water and sanitation, Malaria, Training, clinical outreach and disaster management. AMREF Tanzania is therefore seeking to recruit highly qualified , experienced and motivated individuals to fill the following positions:- Job Objectives: To provide technical support in project performance tracking, monitoring and Evaluation .Assist the MM project Manager in programming and managing PMTCT project activities:

Qualification:

Qualifications and Experience;
• Masters degree in public health or related subjects such as demography, health informatics, statistics, epidemiology or equivalent.
• Minimum three (3) years in monitoring and evaluation of health, SRH or HIV/AIDS programs.
• Skills and experience in M&E capacity building for individuals and organizations.
• Previous M&E experience in a results –based models.
• Proficiency in evaluation design and development of indicators.
• Good working knowledge of descriptive, inferential and advanced statistics.
• Strong qualitative, quantitative and analytical skills and ability to communicat technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical colleagues
• Good communication skills in both English & Kiswahili.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement and coordinate an effective and efficient project, project monitoring and education systems

• Develop and refine performance indicators to ensure that they are objective, practical , specific and cost-effective.
• Lead and support the implementation of project performance indicators for results/impact measurement.
• Continuously reviews existing monitoring tools, harmonize them with existing National tools and adapt them accordingly.
• Provide technical backstopping in the monitoring and evaluation system in all PMTCT interventions.
• Coordinate /assist documentation of best practices and success stories
• Compile monthly , quarterly and annual project reports as well as ad-hoc reports.
• Participate in program development activities including proposal writing;
• Identify areas for operational research (OR) and conduct OR for VCT/PMTCT programme.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor
