PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Partner Account Manager (PAM) is a field-based employee dedicated to managing strategic or incubating SAP VARs and/or SAP Services Partners in order to help SAP grow sales, increase delivery capacity and accelerate partners’ contribution to innovation of the
SAP/partner solution portfolio. Key business metrics for success may include pipeline creation, direct and indirect sales attainment, sourced and co-sell revenue, certified capacity within managed partner (s) in strategic growth areas, and partners’ adherence to PartnerEdge program requirements (if applicable).

Critical skill sets and experience include an understanding of partner business model and engagement in East Africa, enterprise software sales, marketing program roll-out, SAP practice development (within partner) and operational execution. The PAM reports to the local SAP sales management team and integrates fully to help indirect and direct sales reps achieve
quota.
Selling with and through Partners is a cornerstone of SAPs growth strategy. The Ecosystem & Channels team is tasked with expanding SAP’s partner business in all Routes-to-Market. The Partner Sales Manager is focusing on pipeline and deals of strategic partners assigned to him, based on a Partner Business Strategy and related campaigns. Acting as the partner’s ambassador within the SAP sales area assigned, the Partner Sales Manager is key contact point for all partner-related activities from SAP which are deal-focused, for more than 50% of his time.
Desired Skills & Experience
WORK EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years working experience in the software industry; previous experience working in SAP Services partner or SI a plus
- 2 years supporting managers in a customer or partner facing role (ex. Customer Service, Sales, Consulting)
