POSITION OVERVIEW
Project second in charge to assist the Project Manager achieve project goals on time and within budget.
Work Schedule: Rotation Status (42 days on /21 days off)
Contract Duration: 12 months
Key Performance Areas:
- Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the smooth running of the project.
- Lead the Project in the absence of the Project Manager.
- Coordinate the components which contribute to the project to ensure they are delivered on time.
- Ensure deadlines are met.
- Update staff and keep all stakeholders in the project informed of progress and any issues that arise.
- Analyze project data as required.
- Assist in project evaluation and Solve problems that arise.
- Maintain group dynamics and key relationships.
- Represent the project to a wider audience as required.
- Conduct project administration.
- Conduct document control functions.
- Attend and when required lead Project Team meeting and Project Board Meetings.
- Conduct project research.
- Conduct project procurement using ABG procurement system.
- Update project documents.
- Lead meetings and record and publish meeting minutes
- Create and implement project work plans
- Write and review project reports before submission
- Induct staff/contractors
- Oversee Project Quality Assurance
- Prepare project reviews
- Relate with other Mine Departments
- Conduct budget planning and administration
- Evaluate and mitigate future forseen issues
- Maintain good relations with key stakeholders and contractors
- Provide project updates to relevant parties in written, oral and presentation forms
- Manage and maintain project resources.
- Support security, safety, health and environment issues on site
Minimum Requirements for this position include:
- 12 years leadership and management in a position of responsibility with demonstrated ability to achieve good results/outcomes (essential)
- Five years project management experience including surveillance projects (essential)
- Strong practical understanding of surveillance equipment capabilities, including but not limited to electro-optic devices (essential)
- Demonstrated leadership ability (essential)
- Degree qualification (beneficial)
- Strong analysis/evaluation and problem solving ability (essential)
- Demonstrated financial management ability (essential)
- Strong ability with Microsoft Office applications (Project, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio) (essential)
