Shell seeks to recruit a Global Consultant Hydrocarbon Management to join its Projects & Technology (Global Solutions Downstream) team in Rijswijk.

The primary purpose of the position is to provide "Clear record of balanced experience in refinery operations, technical , projects development and business optimisation".
The main responsibilities for this position are;
- Lead / Support Consultant to deliver a variety of refinery & chemical projects and services which includes investment planning,strategy & portfolio studies and margin improvement plans,
- Carry out techno-economic feasibility studies,carbon & energy management studies,hydrocarbon margin uplift and process integration flawless execution for major capital projects,
- The role requires a high level of structured thinking and multi-tasking ability combined with strong interpersonal and team working skills,
- You will also be involved in other multi-skilling roles in the areas of Feed Supply and Product Supply.
Additional responsibilities could include providing technical helpdesk support,providing training courses at customer sites and to support account executives in sales of expertise offerings.

Skill level in at least two refining or chemicals technology areas, with preferably knowledge level in several others.

The position requires a person with (preferably) a degree in Chemical Engineering and with extensive experience in refining (experience with process / refinery modeling), chemicals or gas plant economics, technical and operating experience.
