Academic Manager, British Council Tanzania

The Teaching Centre in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania is recruiting an Academic Manager to start work in early 2012.

The teaching centre currently employs around ten teachers of English on full time, part time and hourly paid basis. Our strategy over the next few years is to increase reach and impact through contracts and partnerships in both Tanzania and Kenya.

The role will involve overall management reponsibility for the Teaching Centre, ensuring Teaching Centre quality standards, financial management and business development. The post holder will also oversee the examinations department and is expected to play an active role in the Senior Management Team.

This post is full-time network position. The Applicants should have an undergraduate degree and a minimum of 2 years management experience post TEFL-Q (DELTA/DipTESOL), in addition to having experience in financial and performance management experience.
