The Town Planners Registration Board (TPRB) is a statutory body established by Act No.7 of 2007 with the responsibility of regulating the activities and conduct of own Planners in Tanzania in accordance with the functions and powers conferred upon it by the Act.
Required Qualifications:
Holder of a Masters degree in town planning and must be registered with the Board as a Fully Registered Town Planner with at least 8 years working experience in a senior position.
Duties and responsibilities
The Assistant Registrar - Registration and Enforcement, is the head of the Department of Registration.
The Post entails carrying out the following duties;
Processing applications for registration;
Planning, organizing and monitoring of registration planning activities;
Assist in the preparation of budget and progress reports;
Maintaining and regularly updating the database of town planners;
Planning and organizing professional interviews;
Ascertaining deployment of registered town planners to perform town planning duties
Following up Technical Committee and management decisions on matters
pertaining to registration of town planners;
Planning and servicing Board's Technical Committee meetings;
Carry out performance appraisal of subordinate staff;
Supervising subordinates in the department; and
Any other duties that may be assigned by the Registrar.
Salary Scale: TPRBGSS 9/10
