UNDP Tanzania Office wishes to recruit a suitable Tanzania national to fill the position of National Coordinator for Climate Change Adaptation Project.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A Masters Degree or higher in natural sciences with strong scientific background in climate change, natural resource management, project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation coupled with vast knowledge and experience in institutional capacity building. A minimum of ten (10) years of post-graduate professional experience in high-level advocacy work in areas of climate change, environment or sustainable development with experience in the developing countries including East Africa and preferably Tanzania. A broad experience and knowledge of climate change adaptation strategies.
- Knowledge and experience in national climate change financing mechanisms and institutional frameworks for climate change governance would be welcome. Understanding of climate change and sustainable development challenges for developing countries, with the ability to work at local and national level in policy linkages and adaptation/mitigation priorities. Strong spoken Swahili an added advantage.
