The Association is looking for a dynamic and experienced Communications Manager to support its outreach activities. The chosen candidate will be stationed in Arusha and will be reporting to the TAHAExecutive Director.
Main Duties and Responsibilities Production of all publications including project reports, monthly newsletters and success stories; Work with program officers to develop communication strategies forTAHA’s various initiatives with special focus on market linkage information; Work with M&E officer to identify information to be shared with membership & stakeholders; Overall management of branding and marking requirements; Content management of association web site, including analysis of use to help implement strategies to increase viewership; Identification and development of alternative communication strategies to reach TAHA members and other stakeholders; Manage the association’s translation work (English to Swahili and vice versa); Preparation and management of stands at trade shows and publicity support for field days
Main Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the field-based aspects of the M&E data collection & recording for TAHA’s activities. Assist with the design and implementation of the M&E methodology for the association’s various programs. This includes preparation and implementation of tools, systems and processes for timely and accurate collection, analysis and reporting of reliable data that meets donor requirements. Develop and/or manage data storage and retrieval systems. Develop and deliver effective training to association staff in the use of reporting templates and M&E data storage & retrieval systems. Develop a robust quality control system to ensure that accurate baseline and results data is collected from field activities that will enable clear impact results to be established for the program.
Position Description:

Main Duties and Responsibilities Plan and implement office systems, layout and equipment procurement Designing and maintaining an up to date record retention system that will be linked to theTAHA main office Assisting the project officer in coordinating project activities with stakeholders and partners Assisting the project officer in ensuring timely planning, budgeting and reporting of project activities Managing the Morogoro membership database and updating the main database on a monthly basis Assisting the project officer in coordinating the TAHA members in Morogoro Prepare time sheets for project staff Managing office petty cash Managing office supplies and ensuring on-time replenishment
Project Officier
Position Description:
The Association is looking for a dynamic and experienced Project Officer to implement the iWASHproject. The chosen candidate will be stationed in Morogoro and will be reporting to the Technical Manager.
Main Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate the implementation of the project activities Mobilize farmers into formal groups/associations and registering them with TAHA Empowering farmers with technical skills through business oriented extension services Collaborating with Marketing Department in connecting farmers with reliable and sustainable markets Preparing and coordinating technical training programmes, farmer field days, workshops, exchange visits and other farmers networking events Working with the Policy Department in the advocating for horticultural farmers interests at Local Government level in the project area Connecting TAHA members in Morogoro and ensure any emerging issues are addressed Maintaining solid relations with stakeholders and external parties, including development partners, the Government of Tanzania, and other business partners. Prepare monthly and quarterly project implementation plans, budgets and reports
Application Instructions:
Qualifications and Experience At least 3 years experience in providing agricultural extension services to farmers and other stakeholders along the agricultural value chain; A degree in Agriculture, Horticulture or Agriculture Extension. A postgraduate qualification will be an advantage but not compulsory; Ability to design, implement and monitor independent projects (Project Management). Demonstrated ability to coordinate small scale farmers groups and work with local authorities in implementing project activities Strong analytical, communication and facilitation skills. Strong interest in and passion for developing collaborative working relationships between Public and Private Sector. Good understanding of the Social-cultural issues of the Morogoro region Experience working for a member-based association will be an added advantage
A valid driving license required as considerable field work is involved.

Programs Officer
Position Description:
The Association is working at strengthening its programs department for improved services to the industry thereby having a permanent qualified Programs Officer joining the TAHA team. He or She will be reporting to the TAHA Executive Director.
Main Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate the implementation of TAHA’s project activities and make sure that they align with the association’s strategic objectives of providing professional services toTAHA’s member and the wider horticultural industry. Take overall responsibility for the development, management, administration, monitoring & evaluation and reporting of the projects. Facilitate the review of TAHA activities to identify areas that need further project support to accomplish TAHA strategic objectives. From this, develop project proposals in collaboration with TAHA management and stakeholders. Develop work plans for awarded projects and create the tools for project execution and management. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Assist Monitoring & Evaluation Officer & Communications Manager to extract relevant information from projects for donor reporting requirements and dissemination of useful information to TAHA members Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. Conduct project reviews and report to the Executive Director and Board on project impact and lessons learnt.
Other Duties and Responsibilities Technical support to members (e.g. pesticides registration, export/import related issues, airport related matters, etc Assist with TAHA and industry’s events organization and management Any other duty as may be assigned by the Executive Director
Application Instructions:
Qualifications and Experience A degree in the field of agriculture, agriculture economics, economics and trade, business administration, international development or related areas. A Masters degree in any of the mentioned fields will be an added advantage; Experience of at least 3 years working in a development project, NGO, donor organization, association or any project-related organization;
At least 2 years professional experience in the areas of project development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation; Good analytical and interpretation skills; Computer; literacy, i.e. Word processing, spreadsheet and power point; Diligent, highly organized and self-motivating individual; A person with high integrity; Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines; and Excellent communication skills particularly in engaging with the private agricultural sector in order to achieve results. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili; Knowledge and experience in horticultural industry will be an added advantage A valid driving license required as considerable field work is involved.
