Futures Group International coordinates the Strategic Information component (patient management and systems and evaluation) of AIDSRelief, using in-country networks and expertise and US technology. The goal is to build a sustainable health management information system which can be used to collect and track data across our network of health care providers. Strategic information includes the President’s Emergency
Plan indicators, Tanzania Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MOHSW) indicators, and specific Project indicators. This information is essential to provide high quality care and treatments, procurement activities, tracking progress, providing accurate reporting to both the MOHSW and US Government and to be used by Local Partner Treatment Facilities (LPTFs) for adaptive management.
POSITION: Strategic Information/Technical Associate (2 Positions)
1 Position based in Tanga and 1 position based in Mara with occasional field travels
REPORTS TO: Strategic Information Advisor
Position summary:
The Strategic Information/Technical Associate will be responsible for supporting all strategic information, monitoring and evaluation, and performance reporting in country. The Associate is responsible for ensuring the data collected is comprehensive, clean and valid. The Associate will assist and or lead in training activities at the LPTF or for other groups as directed by the SI Advisor
Key responsibilities:
Support all monitoring and evaluation for AIDSRelief
Support information technology infrastructure and design management for AIDSRelief data management tools
Support and provide training for computer skills and data entry/analysis to the Local Partner Treatment Facility (LPTF)
Provide quality control/assurance strategies to LPTF
Participate in the analysis of LPTF data
Assist in the collection of accurate monitoring reports from the LPTF (monthly, quarterly, annually) on all required indicators
Work within the country coordinating team (under the direction of the SI Advisor) to provide management of all strategic information
Assist in an annual evaluation of the patient management and monitoring activities
Conduct site visits to LPTF as indicated
Participate in implementation of activities in work plans, meetings for shared experiences, and additional trainings as required
Attend regional conferences as required
Other responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science/ information systems/Software Engineering or related field
- At least 3 years of M&E experience
- Experience in Relational Database Management systems, i.e Microsoft Access, MySQL, and SQL Server
- Public Health or Clinical setting experience is an added advantage
