Software Programmer (1 Position) Based in Dar es Salaam

As part of the Strategic Information Technical group reporting to the Strategic Information Advisor, the software programmer will carry out software analysis and designing activities in the Futures Group International Tanzania.

Strategic Information Outputs include:
• Maintain the existing software that is used for data reporting and validation

• Overseeing the implementation of IQTools, and IQSMS software that are used as monitoring and evaluation systems and tools, including bugs fixing.

• Timely designing of queries and outputs that are demanded by stakeholders and Futures Group management and staff.

• Ensuring all software that are connected to the server are running and maintain a backup copy on daily basis

• Contribute to the Strategic Information team on planning, training of users and staff on the proper use of the developed tools.
• Document and produce user guides and manuals.

• Provide online support (Internet/email support and save as the help desk to users and staff on the software troubleshooting and technical expertise.
• Writing progress reports on the status of the developed tools.

Required Job Competencies:
• Advanced Diploma in Computer Science or Bachelor Degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science;

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience of software management and ability to work in a variety of contexts – management of computer software.

• Minimum of 3 year’s experience working in Software programming with skills and experience in Microsoft Visual Studio C# .NET

• Software design, data analysis (Microsoft SQL), report and query building
• Previous experience in the health sectors is an added advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to work in a team;
• Fluent in English and Kiswahili;
