POSITION SUMMARY
The primary function of the Site Manager is to oversee the operations at a particular site, inclusive of supervision of staff, rquisition of supplies, inventories and financial record keeping for the site.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the operations of site office which includes administration, financial, logistics, personnel and security.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the projects at the site level
- Empower and supervise national staff to
- Prepare the weekly, monthly, quarterly reports and donor reports.
- Responsible for the site budgetary control
- Attend relevant coordination meetings
- Provide national staff development and empower them
- Coordinate and provide leadership to the site team to do well
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Academic – University Degree or equivalent
- Languages – working knowledge of English. Arabic will be an asset
- Good report rewriting skills
- Previous management experience in humanitarian emergency set-ups
- Very good interpersonal skills and team player
- Basic knowledge of logistics, admin, finance and HR management
- Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office, Email, EXCEL – and other computer based systems
- Ability and willingness to manage projects in resource-limited hardship areas
LANGUAGES
• Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret, technical and non-technical in the English language. • Ability to effectively present information and respond appropriately to questions from senior managers in the field and HQ, counterparts, senior government and rebel leaders and other related regional players • Ability to speak Arabic is a plus.
